Alternative Energy

Solar and Wind Power

A guaranteed power solution includes multiple options – a wind, solar and battery bank delivers a continuous regulated and reliable power source to mission critical equipment. Systems are scaled to meet the on board electronics needs of continuous monitoring, storage and communications in all conditions.

Delivering a remote or mobile power solution is our specialty. From Power-in-a-Can to retrofitting your construction site trailer with solar and cameras, we can help.  Unit can include solar, wind, generators, lights and more.

Systems ranging from 4 KW to 14 KW are available in various configurations based on need, space and resources.

Please remember there may be various government programs available for Green Energy projects.

Fuel Cell Solution

When Solar and Wind is not Enough

Solar, wind and batteries are not the only answer.  When a service is mission critical the additional of a fuel cell helps guarantees service.

A fuel cell is a device that converts chemical potential energy (energy stored in molecular bonds) into electrical energy. A PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane) cell uses hydrogen gas (H2) and oxygen gas (O2) as fuel. The products of the reaction in the cell are water, electricity, and heat. This is a big improvement over internal combustion engines, coal burning power plants, and nuclear power plants, all of which produce harmful by-products.

Since O2 is readily available in the atmosphere, we only need to supply the fuel cell with Hwhich can come from an electrolysis process.

When and why should you include a fuel cell?

Remote northern locations are cold and dark in the winter.  Trees, hills, mountains and valleys may make wind and solar power impractical or unreliable. Under such conditions, how do you power a critical solution?

Solar, wind and battery solutions augmented with a fuel cell technology is an ideal implementations.  During dark periods (nights or storms) and no wind,  battery charging is passed to the fuel cell.  This combination minimizes the size of the fuel cell required, the battery bank and helps ensure mission critical power is always available.
